Rev. Dr Hillary Chrisley is the Senior Minister of First United Methodist Church, Santa Barbara. Crafting worship, appreciating music, reading mystery novels, gardening and classic movies are some of her passions. Her husband, Todd Schmidt, is an ordained Disciples of Christ minister and holds a multi-subject teaching credential. He currently teaches at Santa Ynez School. They reside with their son Coleman, in Santa Barbara.

Rev. Dr. Alan Strout was born in Ohio, and raised in Southern California. His educational background includes degrees from UC Riverside and Claremont School of Theology. His experience also includes clinical training in hospital, prison, and substance abuse ministries.

Alan began his parish ministry as Pastor of the 29 Palms United Methodist Church. He then served as Associate Pastor at Glendale First United Methodist, and was appointed as Associate Pastor at Santa Barbara First United Methodist Church in February of 2006. While his areas of ministry focus in the area of pastoral care/caring ministries, he is also staff liaison for Faith and Society, Missions, and Children's Ministries. Areas of service interest beyond the parish for Alan have included youth summer camps; community hunger, homeless, and uninsured health care issues.

Alan is the husband of Patricia Strout, a computer resource teacher in a local school. Their children are son Nathan and daughter-in-law Monica Strout, and daughter Kathlyn Strout, all of whom live out of the area.
